Sea to Summit

Sea to Summit Ikos Evo

No citable rating — see why we hide some.

The Ikos is the Telos idea at half the price: same Tension Ridge geometry, same multi-mode pitching, heavier polyester fabrics and plain anodised aluminium poles instead of DAC. Thirty-one square feet, 18.8 of vestibule, footprint included, $350 — and 86 ounces, which is a full two pounds more than the Telos. Sea to Summit is explicit that the low peak height is deliberate: the tent is shaped for wind stability, and you will not stand up in it.

Features

  • Tension Ridge architecture at a lower price point
  • Footprint included
  • Apex Vent at the peak for high-volume ventilation
  • Hangout and stargazing pitch modes

In its favour

  • Same Tension Ridge door geometry as the tent that costs $180 more
  • 31.2 sq ft of floor, more than the Telos Evo TR2
  • Footprint included in the price
  • The Apex Vent is a real peak vent rather than a token flap
  • Shares the Telos's multi-mode pitching, including a fly-only shelter

Against it

  • 86.3 oz is over five pounds — two pounds more than the Telos
  • Plain anodised aluminium poles rather than DAC
  • No published hydrostatic head for fly or floor
  • No published interior dimensions, so pad fit is unanswerable from the spec sheet

What owners report

No owner discussion has been collected for the Sea to Summit Ikos Evo yet. Rather than summarise sentiment nobody expressed, this section stays empty until there is something real to read — the methodology page explains where these come from and why some tents have none.
